Combating climate change would boost the world's economy

According to the World Bank, tackling climate change would grow the world economy, adding up to $2.6tn a year to global GDP in the coming decades. The report, Climate-Smart Development: Adding Up the Benefits of Actions that Help Build Prosperity, End Poverty and Combat Climate Changefocuses on five large countries - Brazil, China, India, Mexico, and the United States - plus the European Union.
